First MSP to Offer Advanced Vault Technology
LONDON, UK (April 03, 2008) ITC, specialists in secure networking services, have today announced another addition to their security arsenal- Cyber-Ark’s Vault Technology.
The recent onslaught of data scandals have forced organisations to sit up and take notice. In 2007 the UK suffered the highest number of data losses ever; affecting almost 37 million people- from the UK government’s catastrophic loss of 25 million child benefit records to the debilitating insider fraud at Societe Generale. In the aftermath the question remains- could these breaches have been prevented? Experts in information security would answer a resounding ‘yes’. With the right technologies, proper safeguards, security policies and management, companies can protect information and avoid these serious security pitfalls.
One way ITC is helping customers combat these crucial security issues head on is by incorporating Cyber-Ark’s Vault technology as an integral part of their security armour. Cyber-Ark’s Vault technology is one of the most sophisticated information security tools on the market. Instead of traditional perimeter security, the vault operates as a singularly secure port of call for storing, protecting and sharing the most critical of business information. Multiple security layers including: single point of entry, encryption, firewall, authentication, access control and advanced auditing trails combine to create a virtually impenetrable information cavern.
ITC chose Cyber-Ark’s patented software to help clients facilitate and regulate the safe exchange of information internally as well as across global enterprises. The vaulting technology will allow companies to manage, automatically change and log all activities associated with Privileged Passwords- offering invaluable protection against both outside threats; and those, as in the case of Societe Generale, from within.
Within the vault, data is stored securely in a very controlled, yet highly accessible environment; thereby assisting in meeting global regulatory requirements which will only prove more stringent after recent events. >As the only fully managed network service provider offering Cyber-Ark’s Vault Technology, ITC continue to remain one step ahead of other network security companies- continuously introducing cutting edge, high security solutions and products to their global customer base. Key ingredients which may have helped prevent recent widespread financial losses and damaged reputations.
