Kevin Whelan
Technical Director
Kevin Whelan, married with three children, is ITC’s Technical Director with 20 years experience in secure networking and international telecommunications. As a regular consultant to some of the world’s leading organisations, including Fortune Global 500, FTSE 100, and a consortium of the world's largest banks, Kevin works predominantly as ITC’s head architect and also leads the company’s technology development.
Prior to joining ITC in early 2000, Kevin was responsible for the successful merger of the Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand’s legacy Wide Area Networks – a global feat that incorporated over 140,000 users from two markedly different networks. As Global Head of Architecture (LAN and WAN) for PwC, Kevin was also instrumental in pioneering network integrations for many of PwC’s high profile accounts.
Roberto Veiga
Director
Leading a team of 20 security and network specialists, Roberto Veiga is a Director at ITC with 17 years of international secure networking experience. Since co-founding the group in 1995, Roberto has pioneered countless ground breaking and high-profile global and pan-European solutions for the financial, legal, media and health sectors – many of which achieved acclaimed industry recognition. A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), an ISO -27001 auditor, and author of several publications, Roberto’s security knowledge has also been utilised by numerous media agencies, including the national news.
Roberto is intently focused on delivering tangible business benefits. As a result, he has successfully enabled customers to bridge technical innovation with key business challenges in the areas of risk management, business continuity, regulatory compliance, service delivery, and corporate profitability.
Greg Hennessy
Senior Security Consultant
With over 15 years experience in the IT industry, Greg has been with ITC for the last 6 years in the role of Senior Security Consultant. Primarily focused on pre and post sales IT security consultancy, Greg provides full end-to-end reviews on proposed infrastructure deliveries, gap analysis and remedial treatment of client challenges. Greg has additional expertise in the areas of security architecture design and implementation, audits, penetration testing and vulnerability assessment services.
With an extensive portfolio that ranges from the largest global banking institutions through to specialist SMEs, Greg is a firm believer in the dictum that IT Security is a process, not a product. His most recent work has included the design and implementation of gigabit edge/data centre solutions, and full external reviews of proposed global architecture for a leading UK bank.
Brett Milborrow
Senior Security Consultant
A recent addition to the security team, Brett Milborrow is Senior Consultant for ITC and has brought with him over 8 years of notable, high-profile international information security and networking experience. From Presidents and World dignitaries, to Fortune Global 100 organisations and the National Health Service, Brett’s leadership and expertise has secured client networks that have been both award winning and technically pioneering.
Primarily focused on assisting ITC’s key clients with network performance and security management, Brett also speaks at business conferences across the country on issues of security defence, compliance, policy, processes and standards. As a key member of the senior team, Brett also advises on client services and technology development within the group.
Ben Evans
Senior Consultant
Ben Evans is an infrastructure specialist with over 20 years experience in infrastructure design, implementation and security management. Ben’s extensive knowledge was gained while holding senior positions in companies including Citigroup, Salomon Brothers and Brevan Howard Asset Management.
Ben is a technologist and a security consultant with considerable experience in investment banking and hedge fund IT platform design and operations. With firms in the financial sector coming under increasing scrutiny in the area of IT security, compliance and business continuity, Ben’s expertise is an invaluable asset to ITC’s clients; particularly those in investment banking and hedge funds.
As a senior consultant for ITC, Ben focuses primarily on those clients in the financial sector. From his work with global enterprise to start up companies, Ben brings pragmatic hands on experience in the design, implementation, management and security assessment of highly complex infrastructures where maintenance of confidentiality, integrity and availability are paramount.
Andrew Hainault
Senior Consultant
Andrew is an IT security professional and award-winning senior software engineer of eleven years experience, with high-profile clients including BBC News Interactive, Egg, The Children’s Society and the National Gallery. A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Andrew is also a member of the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP).
As Senior Consultant for ITC, Andrew concentrates on the managerial areas of information security; including business continuity planning/disaster recovery, standards, and corporate compliance – with particular focus on auditing and implementing ISO 27001 and the PCI Data Security Standard. In addition, Andrew leads ITC's offering in web application testing and secure web application design, helping to protect clients from external threats.
Stephen MacDonald
Corporate Security Risk Specialist
Stephen MacDonald BEM is a well respected senior security professional with extensive experience of operating at corporate level in the field of security of people, information, equipment and buildings. Stephen has held a number of key security appointments in central government including a role as a Government Security Adviser to Departments.
Stephen has a unique knowledge of government security requirements and protection mechanisms which can be translated into counter-terrorism, physical and information security needs of the commercial sector. He has wide-ranging experience of dealing with contacts in the public and private sector at various levels and considerable experience in the development of risk based mitigation strategies in the fields of security management, business continuity and audit assurance.
His experience and level of expertise is recognized throughout the industry and through the award of Membership of the Charted Management Institute, the Business Continuity Institute and a Fellowship from the Security Institute.
Sergio Perla
Senior Project Manager
An experienced member of the ITC team, Sergio Perla is Senior Project Manger at ITC with over 8 years of notable project management and successful implementation experience from two leading global consultancies, Accenture and Cap Gemini. ISEB Certified (ITIL) and a PRINCE2 Practitioner, Sergio is responsible for coordinating and delivering ITC’s most sensitive and complex solutions, providing corporate governance and business efficiency to our clients.
Sergio has played an important role in the design and delivery of some of Europe’s largest and most challenging engagements. His successful career achievements range from the delivery of the first B2C online ticket sales project in the UK; the roll-out of knowledge support functionality for the NHS’s ‘Connecting for Health’ initiative - leading three separate multi-national project teams as part of their £6.2 billion engagement; to the delivery of key, critical path elements of the UK’s largest replatforming project for J Sainsbury. Sergio’s experience also extends to the government, financial and pharmaceutical markets.
Richard Barclay
Senior Project & Programme Manager
An experienced operations and support engineer, Richard has held senior management technology-related positions over his 20 year career. A technology pioneer, his work has included assignments in technology management and consulting, and he has headed projects at some of the world's most important financial organisations. A recent addition to the consultancy team at ITC, Richard's impressive career history stands him in good stead to provide the most cost effective and technologically advanced solutions to our clients.
Mick Humphries
Senior Consultant
Mick Humphies, an established information security specialist for over 20 years, is an analytical technical architect specilaising in the implementation of security and telecommunications solutions for large global businesses. Prior to joining ITC, Mick was a key member of British American Tobacco's strategy and solutions department where he was responsible for the architecture and delivery of key pan-global security initiatives to support the organisation's globalisation, consolidation, acquisition and risk management corporate demands.
